The fake websiteGoogle is continuing to broadcast a judicially prohibited sex video about Brazilian supermodel Daniele Cicarelli, while another internet giant MySpace is still publishing a fraudulent sexual profile of Australian High Court Judge, Michael Kirby.
Google was last week forced to take down from its recently acquired You Tube site a very steamy video of Cicarelli at a public Spanish beach in intimate action with a Merrill Lynch banker, Renato Malzoni. A Brazilian court demanded it be taken off the You Tube video site.
But the video is still freely available on Google's own video site and despite taking down one version of the video on You Tube it has reappeared , thanks to the efforts of a Brazilian porn site trying to get some free publicity.
On the Google site the video can be easily downloaded.
Cicarelli's marriage to football great Ronaldo last year lasted 84 daysCicarelli is the former wife of Brazilian soccer great Ronaldo and a true super celebrity in South America and Spain.
At the same time the News Limited owned social media site, MySpace, continues to carry sordid and sexually charged material on a fake Justice Kirby profile page. The site has been active for over a year and despite weekend revelations about the fake site it continues to be freely available.
Kirby is an activist judge with Australia's most senior court, openly gay and well known for his liberal views. He has been previously attacked by conservative Senator, Bill Heffernan who was forced to apologise over unsubstantiated claims of using his Government car to trawl for male prostitutes.
The continued publication of the Cicarelli and Kirby material by two of the biggest players in the internet publishing industry underlines both the difficulty of removing offending content from the web, but also the lack of traditional editorial controls social media companies have over their own sites.
According to Wikipedia the Cicarelli video was shot on September 17 last year by photographer Miguel Temprano and broadcast on the TV show Dolce Vita on spanish channel Telecinco. The next day an edited version of the paparazzi scenes from the show was broadcast on YouTube, but deleted that same day.
The fake Kirby site is one of many fraudulent sites on MySpace which does not require any confirmation of identity to establish a profile on the highly popular US teen site.
