The long awaited bi-partisan Iraq study group has declared it is time to “begin to move its combat forces out of Iraq responsibly” declaring the “the situation in Iraq is grave and deteriorating.”
The report was quickly endorsed by leading Democrats, but more cautiously by other key players. Already the report has started a debate about the viability of embedding US forces in the Iraq military post the 2008 exit date and if the James Baker plan can work or simply too optimistic about US Military withdrawl.
